Veronica
and Carissa have several ongoing projects for G-PACT they are working
on, which include:
- Gearing up for
the start of our new fiscal year on Oct. 1st which includes
filing annual state registrations nationwide.
- Veronica has
updated the financial reports.
- Veronica has
been working with Chris Campbell in publicizing the Patient Symposiums
in October. Carissa and
Veronica are planning on attending these events.
- Sponsoring multiple
fundraising events
- Graphics work
printing and distribution to patients and medical professionals
nationwide.
- Planning our
attendance for upcoming events.
- Requesting articles
and/or other info from medical professionals which we can include in a
portion of our website dedicated towards providing information to the
medical community.
- Carissa had an
article published for the American Motility Society Newsletter
introducing G-PACT to the GI community.
- Carissa’s story
was published in the
Messiah
College
’s Fall/Winter 2003
quarterly magazine
- Updating and
expanding various aspects within the G-PACT website
- Carissa is making
plans to attend a meeting with the Speaker of the House in the next few
weeks with a network of medical professionals, congressmen, patients,
and medical companies to request increased funding for GI motility
disorders research.
- Seeking volunteers
in the Harrisburg/York/Hershey PA and surrounding areas as well as the
Columbus
Ohio
area, who are interested in
establishing a support group to hold regular support group meetings at a
designated location. These groups are sponsored by G-PACT, and we will
work with you to establish, publicize, and maintain them at no cost to
you.

Supply
Depot
The
supply depot is accepting unused medical supplies which can be legally
distributed to people who have little or no coverage for medical
supplies. The donor will ship supplies to the supply depot. We ask that
the donor cover shipping costs to the Supply Depot, and G-PACT will pay
for shipping to the recipient once there is someone in need of them.
We
are able to accept:
All MUST BE unopened, sterile, and unused. Supply Depot Manager will
evaluate all supplies as they are donated to make sure they fit within
our guidelines:
-TPN
Tubing/extension tubing
-Tube feeding bags
-Tube feeding formula
-Saline and Heparin pre-filled syringes and vials
-Backpacks for portable TPN or tube feeding pumps
-IV Poles
-Alcohol swabs
-Dressing change kits
-Gauze
-Needle less syringes
Can
be used, but good condition only:
-Medical Tape
